So I Kept You Waiting...

For some really good stuff! I have been working and knitting, knitting and working and there's so much to show for it! Since I have a lot of down time at work, I like to bring socks to knit. I work on several different socks at one time and usually, I'll get 3-4 pairs finished at the same time. I really want to finish these socks ASAP because I purchased a few sock kits. More on those later.

First up is a single Jaywalker. I have casted on for the mate, maybe I'll get around to finishing it some time next week.

Next up is a single purl-less Monkey. I'm sure you guys know where to find the pattern. It has been linked several times :). For some reason, these were a super quick knit and only took me about 4 hours from start to finish. More details when I finish the mate.

So, I tried knitting the Nutkin pattern with different yarn and it came out spiraling like all heck. I tried knitting them toe-up and it has been lovely since then. I also changed the pattern and reversed it to come up with a wavy cable and also used Wendy's heel formula from this pattern. These will be finished tonight at work :). More details when they are finished.

Last week, Grumperina posted about a super unique yarn made from the colors she chose. I totally jumped on it and ordered some along with a set of sz 2 needles (these are my new fave!!!) and I can't wait to get into these!

Ok. So you made it this far. I really wanted to get my hands on some wollmeise and after missing TLE sneak-up with it, I decided to order from Yarnissima. Take about super fast shipping!! I ordered on the 4th and it was on my doorstep 7 days later! I've ordered from yarn shops in the US and they took longer!! The kits I ordered were Spina de Pesce and La Digitessa.

OMG. This yarn is soooooooo yummy. I can see why everyone is going crazy for it. I'm glad I ordered it. I have to finish knitting the other socks in progress before I get into these. Her patterns are so detailed and in depth that I just might knit on these socks alone.

I hope this was worth the wait! More goodies tomorrow!!!!

Ahhhh!

I've been knitting and working like crazy! I have tons of new stuff to post about and some super additions to the stash! Stay Tuned!!!!

It's A Trend!

My blogging drought is officially over!!! Yay!! So.. moving on, I finished one of the Yarn Love socks at work last night. The yarn is really nice to work with and I can't wait for TLE to update with more.

Next up, Jaywalkers! I can't get enough of this pattern! I'll have this sock done tonight!

Happy knitting!

New Shoes!!

So, I ordered the Tsubo Popov from Zappos.com on Sunday night and they were on my doorstep yesterday, 1pm. I luuuurve them, but, they are too small :(! I ordered my siz, but i guess they run really small, so I called the cust. service # and they re-ordered a larger size and gave me free overnight shipping, so I should have them tomorrow!! Woo hoo!!!

I cant wait to wear them with my knit socks! I have quite a few of them now and can match them to almost everything I wear. I think I need some yellows and browns and maybe even black.

Oh, and I've c/o on 2 more socks! Woo!! Well, off to work now!

Happy Knitting!!

More F/O's!

I have really been in a sock knitting groove!

Pattern: Plain Old vanilla on 66 sts
Yarn: Interlacements Tiny Toes #205
Needles: sz 2 sox stix
Started:3-8-08
Finished:3-15-08

The yarn was super smooshy and feels wonderful on the feet! I think I ordered it from The Loopy Ewe and will most def order it again.

Pattern: Jaywalker
Yarn: Great Adirondack Cholla
Needles: Addi Turbo sz 1 40" 1 at a time
Started: 3-1-08
Finished: 3-12-08

The yarn was absolutely wonderful. I can't wait until they are re-stocked at TLE. (Those credits add up!!!)

Pattern: Making it up as i go... hopefully no one has it out so I can publish it for free.
Yarn: Yarn Love Elizabeth Bennet "Darling"
Needles: Addi Turbo sz 1 40" 1 at a time
Started: 3-18-08

This yarn is a pleasure to knit with. I plan on making these socks as tall as possible and most likely will end with a picot cuff.

Besides knitting socks like crazy, I have also started the Feather and Fan Shawl from "A Gathering of Lace", but I am making it a blanket on sz 10.5 needles with Cascade Eco Wool. It's coming along wonderfully and I have just ordered needled from Knit Picks so I can finish it. I would take a pick, but it just looks like a grey blob. I'm hoping for the needles to arrive before the weekend so I can finish the blanket.

Since I don't have any other projects to work on (yeah right), I c/o for the Feather and Fan Shawl in lace weight BFL. I'm using the yarn from another shawl that I started last summer that I got tired of.

Along with all of those projects, I also re started a cardigan. More on that in the next post!

Happy Knitting!!

P.S. Thanks for the nice comments! I think I've got my blogging mojo back!!

You Know Its Bad When...

You get an email saying... are you still alive, up date your blog!!! Well, I am fine! I've been really busy with a new job and planning on going back to school. That should be really fun... But anyway, I wont a contest!! I went over to Kamika's blog and entered and low and behold, I was a winner! Here's what I won:

Hair revitalizer and a set of stitch markers. The pic of the st markers don't do justice to the true colors! I love them!!

Ok. So I have been working on a ton of projects. This is the Koolhaas hat I'm knitting using Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmarino in a hot pink. I might over dye it... I don't know yet.

I just finished knitting this single sock for a gift. I don't have to have both of the ready until september, so i have plenty of time to finish.

I started knitting this pair of socks last summer from yarn that I got from a swap.

Pattern: Embossed Leaves
Yarn: Cherry Tree Hill "Brights"
Needles: Sz 1 1/2 Crystal Palace

Next up is a single Jaywalker. I just started this sock and this yarn is sooooo yummy!! I'm about to order more!!

Yarn: Great Adirondack in Chollo
Pattern: Jaywalker (c/o 84 sts)
Needles: Sz 1 Addi turbo

And lastly... Monkeys! i loved the pattern and it was super easy to memorize. I'll most likely knit it a few more times :) !!

Yarn: Claudia Handpainted Yarn in Bearded Iris
Pattern: Monkey
Needles: Sz 2 Lantern Moon Sox Stix

Claudia's yarn is super soft and yummy....

That's all for now!! I'll be back soon!!
